For sometime now, I've wanted to suggest that your choice of words here is in poor taste. Did you know that if you look up the word "moron" online, you will get this warning:

    "Language Advisory

The dictionary entry you requested contains language that may be considered offensive.

Encarta takes seriously its responsibility both to encourage learning and to respect the role of parents in their children's education. We have rated our dictionary content according to the guidelines of the Internet Content Rating Association (ICRA). You can set your Internet browser to help block potentially objectionable material, including dictionary entries that may be considered offensive."

Certainly, the people you label as "moron" are intelligent people. When you use this word, you are suggesting otherwise. Granted, they do make POOR CHOICES on some days. Don't we all?

Of course, I real life one would not use such dramatic language. When I started this feature I specified that the weekly honor would be issued for sometimes momentary moronness. Just as Olbermann has a daily "worst person in the world" and we recognize that there is no way this could literally be true. Weekly 'morons'need not be considered actual morons. And while the choice of words might itself elicit a response, that's kind of the point of blogging.
