Suppose, for a minute, that you buy the premise...

that the President of the United States has the authority to declassify information in order to use it to undercut a political foe (pretty impressive power). That would mean that he felt absolutely justified in ordering the outing of Valarie Plame. Good for him! Why then the cover-up? Why the elaborate and costly pretense of an investigation to find out who the leaker was? Why not just tell people he did it from the start? Wouldn't Scooter still have a job and not be facing prison time?

It is precisely because of this sort of behavior that I neither like or trust this man and have serious questions for anyone who claims they do. Those who rabidly support this president are reduced now, it would seem, that they really do not care about trustworthiness, or integrity, or even compassionate conservativism. What they are really about is tax breaks that fatten the fat and a social agenda that will continue to divide.

These guys want power- problem is always with what they do when they get it. I say it has been long enough.

I saw a great bumpersticker this week. It read: "Practice Concientious Impeachment".

Hmm, I don't know how longer it will be only us wackos who are saying such things.
