    Jesse Ventura for Senate?

the Minnesota Independence party is floating Jesse Ventura and former Senator Dean Barkley(I) as their possible candidates for the senate seat currently held by Norm Coleman.

The egomaniacal blowhard will probably run- but he is absolutely lazy and would not do our state any favors in this position. Further, an independent senator has little to no clout in the two party system.

One more reason to pay attention to the Minnesota race.

    Hey Mike,

Actually, When I saw the piece on the news last night about the possibility of Jesse Ventura running for US Senate- my reflex- almost spontaneously was to do something along the ines of your suggestion (fart).

Do you really believe Jesse Ventura adds anything to the conversation?

I voted for the guy in 1998 when he ran for Governor. I was glad to see him get in. But things are diffeerent now.

At his own conference he was condescending and dismissive of the media. He was intentionally arrogant- stating that a campaign and actually serving in the senate would interfere with his surfing- btw, where does one surf in the state of Minnesota.

The only thing a Ventura Candidacy will do, besides feed his ego and give him a new stage, would be to drain the anti Norm vote from Al Franken.

I let this comment through because- well frankly it says more about you than anything else. Do not expect the same in the future if you do not plan to contribute in some useful way to the conversation.
